The Shake Hands or Shake Command may be given verbally using either the single or two word instruction (or implied by extending an arm and hand for greeting) and requires the House Boy to respond by extending his own arm and grasping hands in a friendly manner while introducing himself or otherwise making welcoming remarks, eventually returning his own arm and hand to a downward position and assuming the At Ease or Report position unless instructed otherwise.
